About Us

A farmer-members’ cooperative serving Somerset since 1977.

Who we are

Cooperative storage and crop marketing

Cannington Grain Store opened during the harvest of 1977 as a farmer-members’ cooperative. Originally built with a storage capacity of 5,000 mT, the store has expanded significantly over the years and now holds 40,000 mT. Farmer members throughout Somerset deliver crops which are weighed, cleaned, dried, graded and marketed collectively.

Owned by its farmer members, the store provides professional central storage, handling and drying, with crops marketed collectively to give members access to larger cooperative marketing pools.
